Associate professor at the department of Pharmacy at UiT - The Arctic University of Norway. He is interested in various therapeutic fields such as geriatrics, use of antibiotics and use of opioids. He is also interested in how various machine learning techniques can be used in pharmacoepidemiology. He is currently collaborating in various health informatics projects using network analyses and big-data computing/prediction projects involving the use of medicines.
He has previously worked at the European Medicines Agency (EMA) where he worked with pharmacovigilance data such as spontaneous reports as well as working with European data from various countries. He has also worked as a pharmacist in various roles such as community pharmacies and in a drug information centre. He teaches both pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacology and is involved in clinical research both as an pharmacoepidemiologist and co-supervisor.
